Tom Montgomery-Swan
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Co-Founder
Tom co-founded Tide Creative Group (Formally TIDE Media) with a clear mission: to build the most trusted, specialist creative agency in the marine and automotive space. With decades of hands-on experience as a powerboat champion, expedition leader, marine journalist, and brand consultant, Tom is globally respected for his deep knowledge and straight-talking approach to strategy and storytelling.
His portfolio spans collaborations with global brands and FTSE/NASDAQ-listed companies, and in media, he’s worked with the BBC, Channel 4, Netflix, Amazon, ITV, Discovery, Bloomberg, CNN and many channels. As a second-generation journalist, Tom’s roots lie in the legacy of Powerboat & RIB Magazine — the leading publication for powered boating.
This gives him a unique insight to the processes of media production, how to leverage the most out of advertising campaigns, how to successfully launch products and what is required for continued relationships with the world’s media.
While Tom’s reputation opens doors, he’s not interested in the spotlight — he’s here to empower it. Today, he leads Tide’s growing international team by example, ensuring every project meets the highest standard and that creativity is always grounded in commercial insight. His focus is on mentoring the next generation of leading creatives, building solution-driven systems, and helping brands grow through authentic, informed storytelling.
